O
Tsukiyo

Effective Date: September 2025

At O Tsukiyo, each piece is made by my hands and created with care, time, and respect for both the cloth and your vision. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable process, please read the following terms before placing your order. These terms and conditions apply to all purchases made through O Tsukiyo. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to the following.

MADE TO ORDER

If you are ordering a custom piece from my signature, base designs, these terms do not apply in full. Please refer to the Made to Order page for details on process, fabric selection, pricing, and lead times.

CUSTOM COMMISSION

For those wishing to commission a one-of-a-kind garment or piece outside my signature styles, the following conditions apply:

  • Quotes: A custom quote will be provided once fabric, design/concept, and measurements are discussed.

  • Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your order. Work will not begin until the deposit has been received.

  • Timeline: Standard turnaround is 8-12 weeks, though complex designs may take longer. An estimated completion date will be provided at the time of quote.

  • Design Approval: A design outline or sketch will be shared for your approval before work begins. Once approved, any changes thereafter may incur additional costs and extend timelines.

  • Cancellations: As each piece is made-to-order, deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel after work has begun, you may be charged for materials or time already invested.

  • Intellectual Property: All designs remain the creative property of O Tsukiyo. While your piece will be unique to you, elements of a design may be archived or reinterpreted in future collections.

GENERAL TERMS - APPLIES TO ALL ORDERS

  • Payment: Full payment is required before dispatch.

  • Shipping: Orders are shipped from Japan. Customers are responsible for any import duties, customs charges, or taxes applied in their country.

  • Care: Each piece is made from archived kimono or obi cloth, which may show signs of age such as fading or slubbing. These are not faults but part of the fabric’s unique history. Please follow the Cloth Care Guide to preserve your piece.

  • Returns: Due to the bespoke and custom nature of items, returns and exchanges are not accepted unless a clear fault occurs in production.

  • Sustainability Note: All garments are upcycled from kimono textiles, extending the life of materials that would otherwise be lost. Each piece is entirely unique.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me prior to placing your order.
